Coexistence of congenital bicuspid aortic valve and rheumatic heart disease.

On June 5, therapy with isoniazid (300 mg daily) and ethambu~l( 1,100 mg or 15 mghg daily ) was started for possible tuberculosis. The course of hoqitalization was then unremarkable until July 11, when the patient complaiaed of onset of a warm, swollen, painful right wrist and thumb. The serum uric acid level was 10 mgI100 ml. Relief was obtaid with dmhistmtion of colchicine and br,becameofbettertole~bythepatient, iradomethacin.
