Model Based Ceramic tile inspection using Discrete Wavelet Transform and Euclidean Distance

چکیده
Visual inspection of industrial products is used to determine the control quality for these products. This paper deals with the problem of visual inspection of ceramic tiles industry using Wavelet Transform. The third level the coefficients of two dimensions Haar Discrete Wavelet Transform (HDWT) is used in this paper to process the images and feature extraction. The proposed algorithm consists of two main phases. The first phase is to compute the wavelet transform for an image free of defects which known as reference image, and the image to be inspected which known as test image. The second phase is used to decide whether the tested image is defected or not using the Euclidean distance similarity measure. The experimentation results of the proposed algorithm give 97% for correct detection of ceramic defects. KeywordsVisual inspection; DWT; Euclidean distance.

Defect Detection of Tiles Using 2D-Wavelet Transform and Statistical Features
In this article, a method has been offered to classify normal and defective tiles using wavelet transform and artificial neural networks. The proposed algorithm calculates max and min medians as well as the standard deviation and average of detail images obtained from wavelet filters, then comes by feature vectors and attempts to classify the given tile using a Perceptron neural network with a ...

Performance of conventional text based audio search engines can be improved with feature based search engines. In this paper, text independent audio ranking system for audio engines with audio signal as query is proposed. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is used for feature extraction. Ranking is obtained using three different distance metrics namely Euclidean distance, Manhattan distance and M...
متن کاملScore level fusion approach in dynamic signature verification based on hybrid wavelet-Fourier transform
In this paper, we propose a dynamic signature verification system which integrates hybrid of Discrete Wavelet Transform and Discrete Fourier Transform (DWT-DFT) for feature extraction. In feature matching, Euclidean distance and Enveloped Euclidean distance (EED) (a variant of Euclidean distance) are used. Distances of features are fused into a final score value and used to classify whether a g...
