چکیده

We find that Bell’s inequality can be significantly violated (up to Tsirelson’s bound) with twomode entangled coherent states using only homodyne measurements. This requires Kerr nonlinear interactions for local operations on the entangled coherent states. Our example is a demonstration of Bell-inequality violations using classical measurements. We conclude that entangled coherent states with coherent amplitudes as small as 0.842 are sufficient to produce such violations.

Non–locality and quantum theory: new experimental evidence

Starting from the late 60’s many experiments have been performed to verify the violation Bell’s inequality by Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) type correlations. The idea of these experiments being that: (i) Bell’s inequality is a consequence of locality, hence its experimental violation is an indication of non locality; (ii) this violation is a typical quantum phenomenon because any classical sys...

NMR analog of Bell’s inequalities violation test

In this paper we present an analog of the Bell’s inequalities violation test for N qubits to be performed in a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) quantum computer. This can be used to simulate or predict results for different Bell’s inequalities tests, with distinct configurations and larger number of qubits. To demonstrate our scheme, we implemented a simulation of the violation of Clauser, Horn...

Locality and Bell's Inequality

WARNING This is a revised version with respect to the one submitted on Mon, 3 Jul 2000. By mistake an earlier version and not the final one was submitted. Abstract We prove that the locality condition is irrelevant to Bell in equality. We check that the real origin of the Bell’s inequality is the assumption of applicability of classical (Kolmogorovian) probability theory to quantum mechanics. W...

Bell ’ s inequality is violated in classical systems as well as quantum systems by Shiro

Bell’s inequality itself is usually considered to belong to mathematics and not quantum mechanics. We think that this is making our understanding of Bell’ theory be confused. Thus in this paper, contrary to Bell’s spirit (which inherits Einstein’s spirit), we try to discuss Bell’s inequality in the framework of quantum theory with the linguistic Copenhagen interpretation. And we clarify that th...

A Criticism of “ an Experimental Test of Non - Local Realism ”

I make some critical comments on the article [11]. This article makes incorrect claims concerning Bell’s theorem [1]. Moreover, I point to the fact that a hypothesis referred to as “realism” in [11] is not used in the deduction of Leggett’s inequality. “It is the requirement of locality, or more precisely that the result of a measurement on one system be unaffected by operations on a distant sy...
