Context Sensitive Search Engine

چکیده
In this paper, we use context information extracted from the documents in the collection to improve the performance of the search engine. In first step, we extract context using Lucene, DBPedia-Spotlight, and Wordnet. As the second step, we build a graph using extracted context information. In the third step, in order to group similar contexts, we cluster context graph. In the fourth step, we re-score results using context-clusters and contextinformation of documents, as well as queries. In the fifth step, we implement a data collection tool to collect gold-standard data. In the sixth and final step, we compare the results of our algorithm with gold-standard data set. According to the experimental results, using context information may improve the search engine performance but the collection should be relatively big.

An Exploration in Personalized and Context-Sensitive Search
It is often claimed that the use of personalized context sensitive search will greatly improve the majority of Information Retrieval (IR) tasks. However, most search engines still follow the model of “one size fits all” all users receive the same result for a given query leading to low retrieval precision. This paper will report on ongoing research concerning the incorporation of web personaliz...
متن کاملVaidurya: A multiple-ontology, concept-based, context-sensitive clinical-guideline search engine
We designed and implemented a generic search engine (Vaidurya), as part of our Digital clinical-Guideline Library (DeGeL) framework. Two search methods were implemented in addition to full-text search: (1) concept-based search, which relies on pre-indexing the guidelines in a clinically meaningful fashion, and (2) context-sensitive search, which relies on first semi-structuring the guidelines a...
متن کاملEditorial Preface Search Engine Technology: A Closer Look at Its Future
This editorial preface will describe the need for new technology for search engines, the two generations of search engine technologies used, and the need for a third generation search engine. We will discuss the limitations of today’s search engines and difficulties in determining relevancy of the search and the need for a context-sensitive ranking system, and take a closer look at the future o...
متن کاملContext-Sensitive Search and Exploration of XML Text
XML permits documents with arbitrary nested context (tag structure). We investigate how this context may be used to aid the task of searching and exploring XML text. We describe the design and implementation of the Cextor system, which includes a contextsensitive text-search engine. Cextor also includes a novel technique for organizing and exploring very large search results based on context. A...
متن کاملTopic-Sensitive PageRank: A Context-Sensitive Ranking Algorithm for Web Search
The original PageRank algorithm for improving the ranking of search-query results computes a single vector, using the link structure of the Web, to capture the relative “importance” of Web pages, independent of any particular search query. To yield more accurate search results, we propose computing a set of PageRank vectors, biased using a set of representative topics, to capture more accuratel...
