Measurement of as from Hadronic Event Observable at the 2° Resonance

چکیده
The strong coupling a, has been measured using hadronic decays of 2° bosons co~ected by the SLD experiment at SLAC. The data were compared with QCD predictions both at fixed order, O(a~ ), and including resummed analytic formulae based on the leading and next-toleading logarithm approximation. We studied event shapes, jet rates, particle correlations, and energy fraction and checked the consistency between a, extracted from these different measures. Combining au results we obtain a,(M~o) = 0.120 + 0.003 (exp.) + 0.009 (their.), where the dominant uncertainty in a, is from uncalculated higher order contributions. BOSE-EINSTEIN CORRELATIONS IN PION PRODUCTION AT TRISTAN
Measurement of Bose-Einstein correlations in the production of like-signed pion pairs has been made with the AMY detector at TRISTAN. An event sample of 10120 hadronic events with ranging between 50 to 61 GeV was used. These measurements indicate a strength of the enhancement of ? = 0.61M.07, with a typical correlation size of Ro = 1.16±.08 fm. This value of ? is consistent with measurem...
متن کاملSensitivity of the nal resonance spectra on the hydrodynamical freeze out
We present results on hadronic resonance production in high energy nuclear collisions from the UrQMD hybrid model. In particular we are interested in the effect of the nal hadronic stage on the properties of resonances observable at RHIC and LHC experiments. We investigate weather these observable properties can be used to pinpoint the transition energy density from the QGP phase to the hadroni...
متن کاملThreshold Hadronic Event Shapes with Eective Field Theory
Hadronic event shapes, that is, event shapes at hadron colliders, could provide a great way to test both standard and non-standard theoretical models. However, they are significantly more complicated than event shapes at e+e− colliders, involving multiple hard directions, multiple channels and multiple color structures. In this paper, hadronic event shapes are examined with Soft-Collinear Effec...
متن کاملMULTIHADRON PRODUCTION FOR e e FOR FROM 50 TO 61 GeV, C. M. ENERGIES AND COMPARISON WITH MULTIHADRON PRODUCTION IN HADRONIC INTERACTIONS
Average values of< 1- T >where T is the thrust are presented for e: e: AMY data and are compared with their values in hadronic interactions. As far as possible, similar analysis techniques have been employed in the two different interactions. Similar variation with E is observed for this average in both data. The values of < PT> and < PL > relative to the thrust axis in e e are simila...
متن کاملBlood Flow Simulation in an Aorta with a mild coarctation Using Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Finite Volume Method
Coarctation of the aorta is one of the five main congenital cardiovascular failures, accounting for 6–8 percent of these failures. This research aimed to simulate the blood flow of a seventeen-year-old male teen with a mild coarctation at one-third of his aorta's descending branch. The simulation was performed by extracting the domain and the input pulsatile velocity signal as the boundary cond...
