چکیده
Isolated bile duct injuries after blunt abdominal trauma are rare. Surgery is the usual mode of treatment. We report a patient with a right hepatic duct injury following blunt abdominal trauma who was managed successfully by endoscopic papillotomy.

Simultaneous non-traumatic perforation of the right hepatic duct and gallbladder: an atypical occurrence.
Simultaneous non-traumatic perforation of the extrahepatic bile duct and the gallbladder is an uncommon occurrence that has been infrequently reported. We describe a patient with a spontaneous perforation of both the extrahepatic bile duct and the gallbladder. A contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) scan of the abdomen and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) demonstrate...

Bile duct injuries after blunt abdominal trauma are rare in children. This report describes 2 cases of blunt bile duct injuries in children, which were managed non-operatively. One patient sustained partial tear in the right hepatic duct, which was managed successfully by passing a stent into the injured duct during endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography. The 2nd patient had intrahepat...
متن کاملEvolving Role of Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography in Management of Extrahepatic Hepatic Ductal Injuries due to Blunt Trauma: Diagnostic and Treatment Algorithms
Extrahepatic hepatic ductal injuries (EHDIs) due to blunt abdominal trauma are rare. Given the rarity of these injuries and the insidious onset of symptoms, EHDI are commonly missed during the initial trauma evaluation, making their diagnosis difficult and frequently delayed. Diagnostic modalities useful in the setting of EHDI include computed tomography (CT), abdominal ultrasonography (AUS), n...

متن کاملA rare cause of acute abdomen: spontaneous common hepatic duct perforation.
Spontaneous extrahepatic bile duct perforation is generally seen in infants. Although rarely seen in adults, it may be seen with fatal bile peritonitis. Therefore, for a patient presenting with acute abdominal symptoms, differential diagnosis must be made with radiological imaging such as abdominal ultrasonography or computed tomography, without any loss of time. In these imaging tests, in case...
