چکیده
E chinococcal disease involves the liver in 70% of cases, 1 with communication rates between the cyst and the biliary tree ranging from 9% to 25%. Various operative, laparoscopic, endoscopic or percutaneous methods have been proposed for the curative management of uncomplicated echinococcocal cysts; however, in patients with hydatid cyst rupture into the alimentary or biliary tract, open operative management is mandatory. We report the case of a patient with cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis C (HCV) infection presenting with spontaneous rupture of an echinococcal liver cyst into the right segmental intrahepatic bile duct system.

Intrahepatic bleeding secondary to rupture of hepatic microaneurysms is an uncommon clinical entity more frequently associated with polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) or rarely with other vasculitis or autoimmune disease. Hepatic vasculitis is reported in chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and an association between hepatitis C and PAN is described. The current report presents the case of a midd...
متن کاملHydatid Cyst of Ovary: A Case Report
Echinococcus granulosus is considered the major cause of human hydatid cysts. Usually the duration of cyst formation is 10-20 years. This period shortens significantly upon rupture of a primary cyst. The literature describes low incidence of primary involvement of ovary as a site of hydatid cyst formation. Our case is the first report on ovarian hydatid cyst in Iran. A 60-year-old woman was pre...
