چکیده

The newly emerging theory of compressed sensing (CS) enables restore of a sparse signal from inadequate number of linear projections. Based on compressed sensing theory, a new strategy of high-resolution range profiling of stepped-frequency (SF) radar with missing pulses is proposed. If a certain part of received pulses are missing, we demonstrate the proposed method is capable of reconstructing target profile with high fidelity. MATLAB simulation results are presented to verify the proposed method. Furthermore, we use collected data from real SF radar to generate target high-resolution range profile (HRRP). Results are compared with traditional ’Stretch’ method to prove its applicability.

Weighted l2,1 minimisation for high resolution range profile with stepped frequency radar

A novel weighted l2,1 minimisation algorithm for a high range resolution profile with stepped frequency radar is proposed. The raw stepped frequency pulse train is converted into jointly sparse multiple measurement vectors by using the sliding window technique. Then, by using the Capon cepstrum a support-related weighting matrix is designed to control the priority class of bases in the reconstr...

A Novel Sparse Stepped Chaotic Signal and Its Compression Based on Compressive Sens- Ing

We propose a novel signal model by combining the sparse stepped frequency signals with chaotic signals, i.e., the sparse stepped chaotic signal (SSCS) model, as well as the corresponding compression algorithm based on compressed sensing. In SSCS, the chaotic signals are modulated to sparse stepped frequencies to compose a transmitting burst. When receiving, the echo signals are demodulated to t...

Adaptive millimeter-wave synthetic aperture imaging for compressive sampling of sparse scenes.

We apply adaptive sensing techniques to the problem of locating sparse metallic scatterers using high-resolution, frequency modulated continuous wave W-band RADAR. Using a single detector, a frequency stepped source, and a lateral translation stage, inverse synthetic aperture RADAR reconstruction techniques are used to search for one or two wire scatterers within a specified range, while an ada...

Motion Compensation of Moving Targets for High Range Resolution Stepped-Frequency Radar

High range resolution (HRR) profiling using stepped-frequency pulse trains suffers from range shift and the attenuation/dispersion of range profiles while the target of interest is moving. To overcome these two drawbacks, a new algorithm based on the maximum likelihood (ML) estimation is proposed in this paper. Without altering the conventional stepped-frequency waveform, this algorithm can est...

Apply Super-SVA to SAR Imaging with Both Aperture Gaps and Bandwidth Gaps

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging usually requires echo data collected continuously pulse by pulse with certain bandwidth. However in real situation, data collection or part of signal spectrum can be interrupted due to various reasons, i.e. there will be gaps in spatial spectrum. In this case we need to find ways to fill out the resulted gaps and get image with defined resolution. In this ...
