Assisted reproductive technologies have generated a worldwide "reproductive revolution."' Latin America is no exception.2 Access to reproductive technology, and in vitro fertilization (IVF) in particular, can substantially benefit people's well-being. IVF is an assisted reproductive technology that involves fertilizing female eggs with sperm outside of a woman's body in a laboratory.
