چکیده

The general framework of our project is to provide a computational model of physical complex processes for simulation needs. In Geophysics, the study of this kind of system has led to the concept of “Self-Organized Criticality”, to explain the “repeatability” of emergent phenomena in nature. To model Self-organized criticality within computers, the original part of the work is to propose a multiagent platform where emergent phenomena are dynamically created during simulation at the time they occur. The aim of this paper is to show that multiagent systems, studied as “emergent systems”, can help in providing adequate mechanisms needed to model selforganization in complex systems. The paper introduces some key issues associated with the understanding of intrinsic mechanisms leading to self-organization and discusses of the implementation of such mechanisms in an agent-architecture. Finally, it describes a life-sized experimentation in earthquakes simulation to validate it.

Improving the Resilience of Military Hospitals Through Self-Adaptation of Hospital Systems Using Organic Computing

Background and Aim: Among the failures of a disaster, the disruption of the critical infrastructure of the community causes the most damage to society. Therefore, the ability of critical infrastructure such as hospitals to anticipate, absorb, adapt or rapidly recover from a devastating event is essential. The purpose of this study is to design a self-adaptive model for resilient hospital system...

A Self-organized Multi Agent Decision Making System Based on Fuzzy Probabilities: The Case of Aphasia Diagnosis

Aphasia diagnosis is a challenging medical diagnostic task due to the linguistic uncertainty and vagueness, large number of measurements with imprecision, inconsistencies in the definition of Aphasic syndromes, natural diversity and subjectivity in test objects as well as in options of experts who diagnose the disease. In this paper we present a new self-organized multi agent system that diagno...

Discovering the Influences of Complex Network Effects on Recovering Large Scale Multiagent Systems

Building efficient distributed coordination algorithms is critical for the large scale multiagent system design, and the communication network has been shown as a key factor to influence system performance even under the same coordination protocol. Although many distributed algorithm designs have been proved to be feasible to build their functions in the large scale multiagent systems as claime...

Introducing homophily to improve semantic service search in a self-adaptive system

Humans create efficient social structures in a self-organized way. People tend to join groups with other people with similar characteristics. This is call homophily. This paper proposes how homophily can be introduced in ServiceOriented Multiagent Systems (SOMAS) to create efficient self-organized structures.

Agent Based Simulation A Report on: Modeling Multiagent Systems as Self-Organized Critical Systems

Simulation can be defined as, " an imitation or representation, as of potential situation or in experimental testing. " It can also be defined as, " representation of the operation or features of one process or system through the use of another " [8]. Today, simulation is used for purposes ranging from work flow representation to military procedures. The question remains then-what techniques ar...
