Azimuthal Structures of Produced Particles in Heavy Ion Interactions

چکیده
The angular substructures of particles produced in Pb at 158 A GeV/c and Au at 11.6 A GeV/c induced interactions with Ag(Br) nuclei in emulsion detector have been investigated. Nonstatistical ring-like substructures of produced particles in azimuthal plane of a collision have been found and their parameters have been determined.

Identified Particle Correlations at RHIC : Medium Interactions & Modified Fragmentation
Azimuthal angle two particle correlations have been shown to be a powerful probe for extracting novel features of jet induced correlations produced in Au+Au collisions at RHIC. At intermediate pT , 2-5GeV/c, the jets have been shown to be significantly modified in both their particle composition and their angular distribution compared to p+p collisions. Two-particle angular correlations with id...
متن کاملCollective flow in heavy ion collisions from SIS to SPS energies
Collective effects, such as the transverse flow of particles produced in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions, are very important for the study of the nuclear equation of state (EOS) and for the search of a predicted transition to the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). At present the transverse flow is believed to be one of the most clear signals to detect the creation of the QGP in heavy-ion experime...
متن کاملTwo-particle Azimuthal Correlations of High-pT Charged Hadrons at the CERN SPS
Two-particle azimuthal correlations of high-pT hadrons can serve as a probe of interactions of partons with the dense medium produced in high-energy heavy-ion collisions. First NA49 results on such correlations are presented for central and mid-central Pb+Pb collisions at 158A GeV beam energy, for different centrality bins and charge combinations of trigger and associate particles. These result...
متن کاملElliptic flow and the high pT ridge in Au+Au collisions
Dihadron correlations are used in heavy-ion collisions to study the effect of jet-quenching and other interactions of jets with the medium created in the collision overlap zone [1, 2]. In non-central collisions, this overlap zone is not symmetric. The spatial asymmetry leads to large azimuthal anisotropies in momentum space resulting in high values of the second coefficient in the Fourier decom...
