Basic Observables for Processes

چکیده
We propose a general approach for defining behavioural preorders over process terms as the maximal pre–congruences induced by basic observables. We will consider three of these, that provide information about the initial communication capabilities of processes and about the possibility that processes get engaged in divergent computations. We show that the pre–congruences induced by our basic observables coincide with intuitive and/or widely studied behavioural preorders. In particular, we retrieve in our setting the must preorder of De Nicola and Hennessy and the fair/should preorder introduced by Cleaveland and Natarajan and by Brinksma, Rensink and Vogler. A new form of testing preorder, which we call safe–must, also emerges. The alternative characterizations we offer shed light on the differences between these preorders, and on the rôle played in their definition by tests for divergence.

Individual ergodic theorem for intuitionistic fuzzy observables using intuitionistic fuzzy state
The classical ergodic theory hasbeen built on σ-algebras. Later the Individual ergodictheorem was studied on more general structures like MV-algebrasand quantum structures. The aim of this paper is to formulate theIndividual ergodic theorem for intuitionistic fuzzy observablesusing m-almost everywhere convergence, where m...
متن کاملForward and backward time observables for quantum evolution and quantum stochastic processes -I: The time observables
Given a Hamiltonian H on a Hilbert space H it is shown that, under the assumption that σ(H) = σac(H) = R , there exist unique positive operators TF and TB registering the Schrödinger time evolution generated by H in the forward (future) direction and backward (past) direction respectively. These operators may be considered as time observables for the quantum evolution. Moreover, it is shown tha...
متن کاملFixing of Cycle Slips in Dual-Frequency GPS Phase Observables using Discrete Wavelet Transforms
The occurrence of cycle slips is a major limiting factor for achievement of sub-decimeter accuracy in positioning with GPS (Global Positioning System). In the past, several authors introduced a method based on different combinations of GPS data together with Kalman filter to solve the problem of the cycle slips. In this paper the same philosophy is used but with discrete wavelet transforms. For...
متن کاملLangmuir probe-based observables for plasma-turbulence code validation and application to the TORPEX basic plasma physics experiment
The methodology for plasma-turbulence code validation is discussed, with focus on the quantities to use for the simulation-experiment comparison, i.e. the validation observables, and application to the TORPEX basic plasma physics experiment [A. Fasoli et al., Phys. Plasmas 13, 055902 (2006)]. The considered validation observables are deduced from Langmuir probe measurements and are ordered into...
متن کاملQuantum-like formalism for cognitive measurements.
We develop a quantum formalism (Hilbert space probabilistic calculus) for measurements performed over cognitive systems. In particular, this formalism is used for mathematical modelling of the functioning of consciousness as a self-measuring quantum-like system. By using this formalism, we could predict averages of cognitive observables. Reflecting the basic idea of neurophysiological and psych...
