Examining the Psychosocial Health of Black Sexual Minority

The purpose of this study was to explore the validity and reliability of theInternalized Homonegativity Inventory (IHNI) among a sample of Black sexual minoritymen (BSMM). This cross-sectional convenience sample (N=61) study assessedtranslation and criterion-related validity. Considering face and content validity andexploratory factor analysis, the IHNI was tailored to better suit BSMM, and the originaland revised IHNI were compared. The revised IHNI performed slightly better amongBSMM than the original.
