Flexible protein-protein docking: MTgase / G-CSF
نویسندگان
چکیده
Microbial Transglutaminase (MTgase) shows a wide specificity of action in its ability to interact with proteins from different families. Previous experimental data (in collaboration with BIOKER, POLARIS, Pula, Italy) demonstrated that MTGase interacts and transglutaminates the Granulocyte-Colony-StimulatingFactor (GCSF) at residue Q135. In this work this interaction is investigated through the inclusion of flexibility in a large scale docking analysis.

Transglutaminase Enzymatic site-selective PEGylation of proteins at lysine or glutamine
Enzymatic approaches of protein PEGylation are widening their applications thanks to the advantageous obtainment of homogeneous mono-PEGylated isomers. Microbial transglutaminase (mTGase) is an enzyme that, in nature, forms protein cross-linkings between side chains of Gln and Lys residues. For protein PEGylation, mTGase allows site-specific modification with PEG-NH2 at precise glutamines of th...

Background and Objective: Extinction coefficient is the unique value to each protein and can evaluate the type and purity of recombinant protein produced in laboratories and factories producing recombinant proteins. In this study, a simple method for calculating the extinction coefficient of recombinant protein Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) is presented. Methods: G-CSF with...
متن کاملProperties of biopolymers produced by transglutaminase treatment of whey protein isolate and gelatin.
Byproduct utilization is an important consideration in the development of sustainable processes. Whey protein isolate (WPI), a byproduct of the cheese industry, and gelatin, a byproduct of the leather industry, were reacted individually and in blends with microbial transglutaminase (mTGase) at pH 7.5 and 45 degrees C. When a WPI (10% w/w) solution was treated with mTGase (10 U/g) under reducing...
متن کاملCoagulation and Gelation of Soy Protein Isolates Induced by Microbial Transglutaminase
The reaction process and corresponding mechanism of coagulation and gelation of native soy protein isolates (SPIs) induced by microbial transglutaminase (MTGase) were investigated. The protein constituents of SPIs, including a majority of subunits of b-conglycinin and acidic subunits of glycinin, could be polymerized by MTGase to form high weight molecular (WM) biopolymers. Both the coagulation...

We have developed a novel bio-tofu, made from mixed soy and cow milk (MSCM), using Lactobacillus helveticus MB2-1 and Lactobacillus plantarum B1-6 incorporated with microbial transglutaminase (MTGase) as coagulant. MTGase was added to improve the textural properties and suit for cooking. However, the effect of MTGase on the digestion of mixed-protein fermented by lactic acid bacteria was unclea...
