Bosonic loop diagrams as perturbative solutions of the classical field equations in φ-theory

چکیده
Solutions of the classical φ-theory in Minkowski space-time are analyzed in a perturbation expansion in the nonlinearity. Using the language of Feynman diagrams, the solution of the Cauchy problem is expressed in terms of tree diagrams which involve the retarded Green’s function and have one outgoing leg. In order to obtain general tree diagrams, we set up a “classical measurement process” in which a virtual observer of a scattering experiment modifies the field and detects suitable energy differences. By adding a classical stochastic background field, we even obtain all loop diagrams. The expansions are compared with the standard Feynman diagrams of the corresponding quantum field theory.

متن کاملPerturbative Quantum Field Theory in the Framework of the Fermionic Projector
We give a microscopic derivation of perturbative quantum field theory, taking causal fermion systems and the framework of the fermionic projector as the starting point. The resulting quantum field theory agrees with standard quantum field theory on the tree level and reproduces all bosonic loop diagrams. The fermion loops are described in a different formalism in which no ultraviolet divergence...

This work describes new perturbative solutions to the classical, four-dimensional Kerr–Newman dilaton black hole field equations. Our solutions do not require the black hole to be slowly rotating. The unperturbed solution is taken to be the ordinary Kerr solution, and the perturbation parameter is effectively the square of the charge-to-mass ratio (Q/M) 2 of the Kerr–Newman black hole. We have ...

We calculate one-loop quantum energies in a renormalizable self-interacting theory in one spatial dimension by summing the zero-point energies of small oscillations around a classical field configuration, which need not be a solution of the classical field equations. We unambiguously implement standard perturbative renormalization using phase shifts and the Born approximation. We illustrate our...
