Mendelian and Non-Mendelian Quadratic Operators

چکیده
In this paper, we attempt to provide mathematical models of Mendelian and Non-Mendelian inheritances of the bisexual population system having Fisher’s 1:1 principle. In our model, we always assume that distributions of the same phenotype of female and male populations are equal. We study the evolution of a Mendelian trait. As an application of a non-Mendelian inheritance, we construct a quadratic stochastic operator that describes transmission of ABO and Rh blood groups.

Biparental Inheritance of Non-Mendelian Gene Markers in CHLAMYDOMONAS MOEWUSII.
The first two non-Mendelian gene mutations to be identified in Chlamydomonas moewusii are described. These putative chloroplast gene mutations include one for resistance to streptomycin (sr-nM1) and one for resistance to erythromycin (er-nM1). In one- and two-factor reciprocal crosses, usually over 90% of the germinating zygospores transmitted these mutations and their wild-type alternatives fr...
متن کاملMechanisms of non-Mendelian inheritance in genetic disease.
Single gene disorders with Mendelian inheritance patterns have contributed greatly to the identification of genes and pathways implicated in genetic disease. In these cases, molecular analysis predicts disease status relatively directly. However, there are many abnormalities which show familial recurrence and have a clear genetic component, but do not show regular Mendelian segregation patterns...
متن کاملOnline Mendelian Inheritance in Animals (OMIA): a comparative knowledgebase of genetic disorders and other familial traits in non-laboratory animals
Online Mendelian Inheritance in Animals (OMIA) provides up-to-date information on inherited disorders and other familial traits in non-laboratory animals. It is freely available online at http://www.angis.org.au/omia. With a strong emphasis on comparative biology, OMIA is modelled on, and reciprocally hyperlinked with, Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM). It provides a comprehensive cata...
متن کاملThe role of parental and grandparental epigenetic alterations in familial cancer risk.
Epigenetic alterations of the genome such as DNA promoter methylation and chromatin remodeling play an important role in tumorigenesis. These modifications take place throughout development with subsequent events occurring later in adulthood. Recent studies, however, suggest that some epigenetic alterations that influence cancer risk are inherited through the germline from parent to child and a...
متن کاملCan we apply the Mendelian randomization methodology without considering epigenetic effects?
INTRODUCTION Instrumental variable (IV) methods have been used in econometrics for several decades now, but have only recently been introduced into the epidemiologic research frameworks. Similarly, Mendelian randomization studies, which use the IV methodology for analysis and inference in epidemiology, were introduced into the epidemiologist's toolbox only in the last decade. ANALYSIS Mendeli...
