چکیده

Development of computer aided verification tools has greatly benefited from SMT technologies; instead of writing an ad-hoc reasoning engine, designers translate their problem into SMT queries which solvers can efficiently solve. Translating a problem into effective SMT queries, however, is itself a tedious, error-prone, and non-trivial task. This paper introduces Smten, a tool for automatically translating high-level symbolic computations into SMT queries. We demonstrate the use of Smten in the development of an SMT-based string constraint solver.

Smten and the art of satisfiability-based search

Satisfiability (SAT) and Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT) have been leveraged in solving a wide variety of important and challenging combinatorial search problems, including automatic test generation, logic synthesis, model checking, program synthesis, and software verification. Though in principle SAT and SMT solvers simplify the task of developing practical solutions to these hard combina...

Integration of SMT-LIB Support into Maple

The SC project arose out of the recognition that the Symbolic Computation and Satisfiability Checking communities mutually benefit from the sharing of results and techniques. An SMT solver can profit from the inclusion of computer algebra techniques in its theory solver, while a computer algebra system can profit from dispatching SAT or SMT queries which arise as sub-problems during computation...

Modeling Imperative String Operations with Transducers

We present a domain-specific imperative language, Bek, that directly models low-level string manipulation code featuring boolean state, search operations, and substring substitutions. We show constructively that Bek is reversible through a semantics-preserving translation to symbolic finite state transducers, a novel representation for transducers that annotates transitions with logical formula...

Multi-solver Support in Symbolic Execution

In this talk, we will present the results reported in our CAV 2013 paper [6] on integrating support for multiple SMT solvers in the dynamic symbolic execution engine KLEE [2]. In particular, we will outline the key characteristics of the SMT queries generated during symbolic execution, introduce an extension of KLEE that uses a number of state-of-the-art SMT solvers (Boolector [1], STP [4] and ...

English-latvian SMT: the challenge of translating into a free word order language

This paper presents a comparative study of two approaches to statistical machine translation (SMT) and their application to a task of English-to-Latvian translation, which is still an open research line in the field of automatic translation. We consider a state-of-the-art phrase-based SMT and an alternative N -gram-based SMT systems. The major differences between these two approaches lie in the...
