Right ventricular T1 mapping is technically feasible and correlates with right ventricular dysfunction in non-ischemic cardiomyopathy

چکیده
Background T1 mapping is increasingly employed for evaluation of diffuse fibrosis within the left ventricular (LV) myocardium. Physiological confounders require correction of raw data prior to analysis. T1 values have been inversely correlated with LV systolic and diastolic function. We sought to evaluate the feasibility of right ventricular (RV) T1 mapping and to assess its relationship with RV function.

Right Ventricular Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy in Children: Brief Review Literature
Right ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy (RVNC) is a genetic heterogeneous cardiomyopathy. Despite the increasing number of RVNC cases, the classification and natural history of this disorder are not completely clear. Also, because the pathogenic non-compaction cannot be easily differentiated from normal trabeculations, it is usually hard to accurately measure the prevalence of RV ...
متن کاملThe Correlation between Left and Right Ventricular Ejection Fractions in Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease, Documented by Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Introduction: The correlation between right and left ventricular ejection fractions (RVEF and LVEF, respectively) has been studied in only a small number of patients with a marked decrease in RVEF and LVEF. The aim of the present study was to compare LVEF and RVEF in patients with ischemic heart disease. RVEF and LVEF were measured by Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging. Materials a...
متن کاملImpact of right ventricular end systolic volume and mitral regurgitation on survival in patients with severe ischemic cardiomyopathy
Background Mitral regurgitation (MR) and right ventricular dysfunction have been shown to be an independent predictors of mortality in patients with severe ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM). However, it is unclear how right ventricular end systolic volume index (RVESVi) modifies risk in patients with ischemic mitral regurgitation. We sought to assess impact of RVESVi, MR, and the interaction of the...
متن کاملCorrelation of myocardial interstitial collagen in the right ventricular septum with ventricular function of patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy.
BACKGROUND Myocardial collagen content influences ventricular relaxation, contraction, and morphology. Its relationship with ventricular function in patients (Pts) with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICMP) has not yet been fully studied in humans. OBJECTIVE To assess the relationship between interstitial collagen content in non-infarcted areas of the right ventricular septum and ventricular functio...
متن کاملEvaluation of Right Ventricular Function by Tissue Doppler Echocardiography in Asthmatic Children
BackgroundAsthma is the most chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways in children and asthmatic patients can experience cardiac dysfunction, pulmonary hypertension and finally cor pulmonale later in life. We aimed to investigate Right Ventricular (RV) functions in asthmatic children by conventional and tissue Doppler echocardiography (TDE).Materials and Methods Pulmonary function tests, con...
