A Special Issue On "Computational Finance and Economics" Impact Of It On Some Economics Problems

چکیده
Economics has for a long time been regarded as a creation for the perfect world. In reality, many have argued, various forms of social barriers such as hierarchies have been created in commercial, corporate and institution structures to defy the frictionless legend of the perfect economic theories. The recent rise of the Internet, and commercial activities therewith, have, with no doubt, make it possible to eliminate information barriers, and in the opinion of some advocates, to create a “Friction-Free Capitalism”. No matter one would agree with this or not, the technology innovations have made significant progress in commerce. Gartner, Inc., estimated the value of B2B Internet commerce sales in 2001 to be near 1 trillion and predicted it will grow to over 8 trillion by 2005. Features of this new economy of the Internet Age have not been ignored but have been closely studied over the globe by economists, computer scientists and business managers.
