چکیده

The diagrammatic linear response formalism for the Coulomb drag in two{layer systems is developed. This technique can be used to treat both elastic disorder and intralayer interaction eeects. In the absence of intralayer electron{electron correlations we reproduce earlier results, obtained using the kinetic equation and the memory{function formalism. In addition we calculate weak{localization corrections to the drag coeecient and the Hall drag coeecient in a perpendicular magnetic eld. As an example of the intralayer interaction eeects we consider a situation where one (or both) layers are close to (but above) the superconducting transition temperature. Fluctuation corrections , analogous to the Aslamazov{Larkin corrections, to the drag coee-cient are calculated. Although the uctuation corrections do not enhance the drag coeecient for normal{superconductor systems, a dramatic enhancement is found for superconductor{superconductor structures.

This article discusses spin transport in systems with spin-orbit interactions and how it can be understood in a semiclassical picture. I will first present a semiclassical wave-packet description of spin transport, which explains how the microscopic motion of carriers gives rise to a spin current. Due to spin non-conservation the definition of the spin current has some arbitrariness. In the sec...

Diffusion Poles and the Anderson Transition

In the recent series of papers (cond-mat/0402471, cond-mat/0403618, condmat/0407618, cond-mat/0501586), Janis and Kolorenc discussed the role of the diffision poles in the Anderson transition theory. Their picture contradicts the general principles and is shown below to be completely misleading. Correct setting of the problem is given and the contemporary situation is discussed. The critical re...

Comment on “quantum theory for mesoscopic electric circuits” cond-mat/9907171 and cond-mat/9606206

In references con-mat/9907171 and cond-mat/9606206 (Phys.Rev.B 53, 4927 (1996)) by You-Quan Li and Bin Chen, was considered a mesoscopic LC circuit with charge discreteness. So, it was proposed a finite difference Schrödinger equation for the charge time behavior. In this comment, we generalize the corresponding mesoscopic Hamiltonian in order to taken into account the dissipative effects (resi...
