چکیده

In this paper we propose a novel functional amplifier suitable for low-power wireless receivers in a wireless sensor network. This amplifier can change input threshold level as carrier sensing level, since it has a minimum input amplitude to be amplified. A simple rail-to-rail output is suitable for a subsequent digital interface. The target frequency is 433 MHz, and the maximum voltage gain is 11 dB. The standby power is 39.5 nW, and the active power is 352 μW. The chip area is 82 × 24 μm2. key words: wireless sensor network, amplifier

A 356-μW, 433-MHz, Rail-to-Rail Voltage Amplifier with Carrier Sensing Function for Wireless Sensor Networks

We describe a low-power voltage amplifier that is suitable for RF (radio frequency) receivers in a WSN (wireless sensor network). Since a sensor node has a strict energy budget in a WSN, it often enters itself into a standby mode when no communication is required, and hence a standby power have to be suppressed as well as an active power in order to maximize a lifetime of a WSN. For this sake, ...

A Low Power Low Voltage Rail to Rail Constant gm Differential Amplifier with 150 dB CMRR and Enhanced Frequency Performance

This paper proposes a low voltage (±0.55V supply voltage) low power (44.65µW) high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) differential amplifier (d.a.) with rail to rail input common mode range (ICMR), constant transconductance (gm) and enhanced frequency performance. Its high performance is obtained using a simple negative averaging method so that it cancels out the common mode input signals at th...

Designing 1-V Op Amps Using Standard Digital CMOS Technology

This paper addresses the difficulty of designing 1-V capable analog circuits in standard digital complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) technology. Design techniques for facilitating 1-V operation are discussed and 1-V analog building block circuits are presented. Most of these circuits use the bulk-driving technique to circumvent the metal– oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor t...

Compact Low-Voltage Power-Efficient Operational Amplifier Cells for VLSI

Compact low-voltage power-efficient operational amplifiers are described that are very suitable as very-largescale-integration library cells because of the small die area of 0.08 mm and the minimum supply voltage of 1.8 V. A key part of the circuit is the rail-to-rail class-AB output stage with folded mesh feedback control that combines power efficiency with operation down to 1.8 V and allows s...
