چکیده

Using lattice simulations of a one-component (λΦ 4) 4 theory, we have measured the energy spectrum ω(k) in the broken phase at various lattice sizes. Our data show that the energy-gap ω(0) is not the 'Higgs mass' M h but an infrared-sensitive quantity that, conceivably, vanishes in the infinite-volume limit.

Tight- binding study of electronic band structure of anisotropic honeycomb lattice

The two-dimensional structure of graphene, consisting of an isotropic hexagonal lattice of carbon atoms, shows fascinating electronic properties, such as a gapless energy band and Dirac fermion behavior of electrons at fermi surface. Anisotropy can be induced in this structure by electrochemical pressure. In this article, by using tight-binding method, we review anisotropy effects in the elect...

Long-wavelength excitations of Higgs condensates

Quite independently of the Goldstone phenomenon, recent lattice data suggest the existence of gap-less modes in the spontaneously broken phase of a λΦ4 theory. This result is a direct consequence of the quantum nature of the ‘Higgs condensate’ that cannot be treated as a purely classical c-number field. Spontaneously broken λΦ4 theories have been used to fix the ground state in many quantum fie...

Calculation of structural ,electronical and optical properties TiO2 in anatase phase

In this Paper, the structural, electronic and optical properties of TiO2 compound are investigated and calculated. The calculations were performed using the full potential linear augmented plane wave (PP-PW) method within density functional theory (DFT)and using the Wien2k package.Structural properties such as lattice constants, bulk modulus and compressibility of this combination are calculated...

Characterization and Phase Transformation of Spherical YSZ Powders Fabricated Via air Plasma Spray Method

Air plasma spray (APS) process is used to produce high density and flowability spherical powders. Phase transformation that occurred in this process isn’t well known. In this paper, the YSZ powders have been sprayed in water to investigate the morphology changes and phase transformations via air plasma spray (APS) method. Phase analysis of powders was examined by XRD and the crystallite size an...

New phases of finite temperature gauge theory from an extended action

We study the behavior of the order parameter, the phase diagram, and the thermodynamics of exotic phases of finite temperature gauge theory. Lattice simulations were performed in SU(3) and SU(4) with an adjoint Polyakov loop term added to the standard Wilson action. In SU(3), the pattern of Z(3) symmetry breaking in the new phase is distinct from the pattern observed in the deconfined phase. In...
