چکیده

Radar remote sensing deals with the extraction of object information from electromagnetic wave parameters. To fully exploit the potential of acquiring quantitative information requires a detailed description of the interaction between microwaves and objects. For practical reasons a simplified approach is preferred where the radar return of a distributed target is modeled as a sum of scatterer echoes. In this paper, a point scatterer model is given to simulate scattering of radar waves by distributed targets. The scatterers may have different heights in synthesizing rough surfaces. The principle of conservation of energy is used to account for electromagnetic coupling between the scatterers in function of target sampling density. The predicted coupling between two scatterers is experimentally verified by indoor radar cross section measurements. The model is verified through comparison with numerically solving the electric field integral equation for linear scatterer arrays. Results are given in the form of bistatic scatter diagrams to provide insight in the full scattering behavior.

Spatial Analysis and Monitoring of Slope Stability using Persistent Scatterer Tecnique of Sentinel 1 Radar Images, Case Study: Sarcheshmeh Copper Mine

Based on the correlation diagram between the master and slave images (Fig. 5), the pair of appropriate images in terms of the shortest spatial and temporal lines is identified to produce the interferogram. As shown in Fig. 5, the maximum vertical baseline is obtained between -400 and -400. The obtained interferograms indicate the cumulative phase of the study area, which fluctuates between zero...

Multiple Target Tracking With a 2-D Radar Using the JPDAF Algorithm and Combined Motion Model

Multiple target tracking (MTT) is taken into account as one of the most important topics in tracking targets with radars. In this paper, the MTT problem is used for estimating the position of multiple targets when a 2-D radar is employed to gather measurements. To do so, the Joint Probabilistic Data Association Filter (JPDAF) approach is applied to tracking the position of multiple targets. To ...

روشی جدید در بازشناسایی خودکار اهداف متحرک زمینی با استفاده از رادارهای مراقبت زمینی پالس داپلر

A new automatic target recognition algorithm to recognize and distinguish three classes of targets: personnel, wheeled vehicles and animals, is proposed using a low-resolution ground surveillance pulse Doppler radar. The Chirplet transformation, a time frequency signal processing technique, is implemented in this paper. The parameterized RADAR signal is then analyzed by the Zernike Moments (ZM)...

Spaced Antenna analysis of atmospheric radar backscattermodel

A simple computer model of atmospheric radar backscatter is used to investigate and compare various Spaced Antenna (SA) analysis techniques. These techniques include the Full Correlation Analysis (FCA) and radar Interferometry techniques. The results illustrate that the interferometric velocities increase with increasing turbulence, predicting the model input velocity only for zero turbulence. ...

Recognizing articulated objects in SAR images

This paper presents the "rst sucessful approach for recognizing articulated vehicles in real synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. This approach is based on invariant properties of the objects. Using SAR scattering center locations and magnitudes as features, the invariance of these features with articulation (e.g. turret rotation of a tank) is shown for XPATCH-generated synthetic SAR signatur...
