چکیده

Detailed information about the electrophysical behaviour of the heart can be obtained by measuring electrical potentials in combination with the position of the measurement electrodes and the conductivity distribution in the body. This study describes a less expensive approach to create a model of a human thorax, and thus, the conductivity distribution. In a preprocessing step, a rigid electrode set is matched onto a standard volume dataset. The radial basis functions are introduced to deform this dataset. Different radial basis functions are analysed and the results presented.

Toward a Model-Based Bayesian Theory for Estimating and Recognizing Parameterized 3-D Objects Using Two or More Images Taken from Different Positions

A new approach is introduced to estimating object surfaces in three-dimensional space from two or more images. A surface of interest here is modeled as a 3-D function known up to the values of a few parameters. Although the approach will work with any parameterization, we model objects as patches of spheres, cylinders, planes, and general quadrics-primitive objects. Primitive surface estimation...

Computing 3D models of rotating objects from moving shading

This work reconstructs 3D graphics model of an object from an image sequence taken during the object rotation. Shading and its motion information are used in estimating shapes of smooth surfaces between fixed edges from corners and patterns. Being different from conventional shape from shadings that use one or several images, we use an image sequence that provides not only shading but also its ...

Scale Space Surface Recovery using Binocular Shading and Stereo Information

Shape-from-shading algorithms that use a single image often find incorrect solutions because of ambiguity in the image shading. We describe a robust shape-from-shading algorithm using scale space tracking that can resolve most of these ambiguities by using two images taken from slightly different positions. Further improvements are obtained by combining stereo with shape-fromshading. Results ar...

Non - destructive Automatic Leaf Area Measurements by Combining Stereo and 1 Time - of - Flight

Leaf area measurements are commonly obtained by destructive and laborious practice. This paper 5 shows how stereo and Time-of-Flight (ToF) images can be combined for non-destructive automatic leaf area 6 measurements. We focus on some challenging plant images captured in a greenhouse environment, and show that 7 even the state-of-the-art stereo methods produce unsatisfactory results. By transfo...

Removal of Adherent Waterdrops from Images Acquired with a Stereo Camera System

In this paper, we propose a new method that can remove view-disturbing noises from stereo images. One of the thorny problems in outdoor surveillance by a camera is that adherent noises such as waterdrops on the protecting glass surface lens disturb the view from the camera. Therefore, we propose a method for removing adherent noises from stereo images taken with a stereo camera system. Our meth...
