PAM - A Program That Infers Intentions

چکیده
PAM (Plan Appl ier Mechanism) is a program that understands s to r i es by analyzing the i n t e n t ions of the s t o r y ' s characters , and r e l a t i n g t h e i r i n ten t ions to the i r ac t ions . PAM reads in sentences in Eng l ish , produces Conceptual Dependency (CD) meaning representat ions fo r them, and connects together Lhese CD's to form a s tory represen ta t ion . The story representat ion cont a i n s , in add i t i on to the actual events of the s t o r y , a Knowledge Structure I n t e r p r e t a t i o n (KSI ) , which explains why these events occurred.

Procedural Agent Model for Plan Recognition
We propose a formal procedure-based agent model for plan recognition as an alternative to the declarative proposition-based agent model. Our formalism, called the Procedural Agent Model (PAM) allows us to describe procedural plans of agents in a concise and abstract way. Plan recognition uses PAM as a library of plan schemas and applies a graph-based pattern-matching algorithm to the observed e...

متن کاملThe Effect of a Training Program Based on the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) on Sexual High-Risk Behavioural Intentions in Female Prisonors, Vakil Abad Prison, Mashhad, Iran, 2013
Background and Aims: High-risk sexual behaviors are of the most important risky behaviours in the area of sexual and reproductive health. It seems that educational programs based on health behavioural change theories are of the most basic measures in prevention of social damages. Therefore, the present study was carried out to determine the effect of a training...
متن کاملCoordinate to cooperate or compete: Abstract goals and joint intentions in social interaction
Successfully navigating the social world requires reasoning about both high-level strategic goals, such as whether to cooperate or compete, as well as the low-level actions needed to achieve those goals. While previous work in experimental game theory has examined the former and work on multi-agent systems has examined the later, there has been little work investigating behavior in environments...
متن کاملCooperating with people: the Intelligent
People frequently complain that it is too difficult to figure out how to get computers to do what they want. However, with a computer system that actually tries to understand what its users are doing, people can interact in ways that are more natural to them. We have been developing a system, the Intelligent Classroom, that does exactly this. The Intelligent Classroom uses cameras and microphon...
