Supporting Regulatory Dynamics in Open MAS
نویسندگان
چکیده
An open multi-agent system should enable regulatory dynamics easily in order to provide updated information about the system enforcement for its law-aware agents. This work presents a case study where agents can dynamically adapt their behaviors according to current enforcements of contextual laws. The case study uses a flexible solution for contextual regulations, which includes a top-down contextual modeling of laws, a normative ontology to formalize the defined regulatory contexts and a rule support for law retrieval.

Informing Regulatory Dynamics in Open MASs
We believe that, in the near future, all multi-agent systems (MASs) will be open, permitting agents to migrate among MASs to obtain resources or services not found locally. In this scenario, open MASs should be enhanced with norms for restricting agents’ actions and, consequently, avoiding unexpected behavior. In this work, we present a case study where an open MAS is enhanced with contextual n...
متن کاملProgramming Dynamics of Multi-Agent Systems
Dynamics are one of the most important properties of multi-agent systems (MAS), which often operate in open environment and with dynamically changing requirements. This paper firstly gives a comprehensive view of the dynamics in MAS based on “where” and “what” aspects of change and discusses the software engineering issues of engineering such dynamics. To solve related issues, we propose an org...

Abstract In this paper, the effect of foreign sector macro-variable on inflation dynamics and firms’ pricing behavior has been investigated in the context of a small open economy New Keynesian Phillips Curve. This curve is derived and estimated for a developing oil-exporting economy suffering from Dutch Disease. This version of NKPC is an extension of Leith and Malley’s (2007) small open econom...
متن کاملResource Management and Adaptive Replication for Fault-Tolerant MAS
Distributed cooperative applications are now increasingly being designed as MAS. Such applications may be massive, open and very dynamic: new agents can join or leave, they can change roles, strategies, etc. This characteristics create new challenges to the traditional approaches of fault-tolerance. In this paper, we focus on a replicationbased preventive approach. The aim is to dynamically and...
متن کاملSupporting agent-oriented designs with models of macroscopic system behavior
The purposeful development of MAS, particularly when addressing complex, decentralized application architectures, demands the ability to anticipate the effects of agent coaction. Sophisticated design and modeling tools support the development of individual agent models and their arrangement in organizational structures. However, only limited support is available to pre-estimate the qualitative,...
