The effect of complex training program on skating performance for elite in-line speed skaters

چکیده
The purpose of this study were compared the effect of the 12 weeks complex training program (explosive training and core muscle strengthening) and traditional skating training program on the physical abilities and skating performance in elite in-line speed skaters. 10 skaters attended the complex explosive training group (CE group) and 10 skaters attended the regular training group (RT group). Each participant took the tests before and after the training program within 1 week. The result showed that there were significantly improvement on 300m time trial race, 60s sit-ups, and Dorsal raise test for CE group, but no change in the RT group. In addition, it also shows that CE group had significantly greater sit-up performance improvements than RT group. The results confirmed that additional complex training program could enhance the training effects on the short-distance skating performance and core muscle strength and endurance.

Thirty-eight years of training distribution in Olympic speed skaters.
UNLABELLED During the last decade discussion about training-intensity distribution has been an important issue in sports science. Training-intensity distribution has not been adequately investigated in speed skating, a unique activity requiring both high power and high endurance. PURPOSE To quantify the training-intensity distribution and training hours of successful Olympic speed skaters ove...
متن کاملPacing and sprint performance in speed skating during a competitive season.
PURPOSE This study assessed the effect of time spent in several race sectors (S) on finishing time and determined the variance in distribution of skating time and in total race time for official 1000-m sprint races conducted during a competitive season. METHODS Total race and sector times for the first 200 m (S1) and the following two 400-m laps (S2 and S3) of 34 female and 31 male elite spee...
متن کاملKinematic analysis of the technique for elite male long-distance speed skaters in curving.
The purpose of this study was to investigate technical factors for maintaining skating velocity by kinematic analysis of the skating motion for elite long-distance skaters during the curve phase in official championship races. Sixteen world-class elite male skaters who participated in the 5,000-m race were videotaped with two synchronized high-speed video cameras (250 Hz) in a curve lane by usi...
متن کاملNIRS measurements with elite speed skaters: comparison between the ice rink and the laboratory.
Wearable, wireless near-infrared (NIR) spectrometers were used to compare changes in on-ice short-track skating race simulations over 1,500 m with a 3-min cycle ergometry test at constant power output (400 W). The subjects were six male elite short-track speed skaters. Both protocols elicited a rapid desaturation (∆TSI%) in the muscle during early stages (initial 20 s); however, asymmetry betwe...
