Modeling and Simulation of Hemodynamic Effects During Different Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Technologies

چکیده
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a simple and effective medical treatment for sudden cardiac arrest patients. Because of those existing interferences in the experiments, most of the animal experiments and the CPRs in vivo studies get contradictory conclusions. In this report, according to the current theories of CPR, we got a CPR model; simulated various CPR technologies, and compared their hemodynamic variables. Compared the simulation results and animal experimental data, this report showed that when the External counterpulsation technique applied in CPR, the cardiac output, as well as the diastolic and the aortic pressure would be improved, which was consistent with the results of animal experiments.

Success rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the intensive care unit of an Iran’s Army Air Force hospital in 2012
Purpose: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an important step for patient survival inside and outside the hospital. Therefore, the results of CPR can be effective in modifying the structure of this operation and in eliminating its shortcomings. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the success rate of CPR in intensive care unit of an Iran’s Army Air Force hospital in 2012. Mat...

Objective(s): The aim of this study wasto investigate the effects of mild hypothermia therapy on oxidative stress injury of rabbit brain tissue after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Materials and Methods: Rabbit models of cardiac arrest were established. After the restoration of spontaneous circulation, 50 rabbits were randomly divided into normothermia and hypothermia groups. The followi...
متن کاملPresence of chest tubes does not affect the hemodynamic efficacy of standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Background During cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), chest tubes can hinder increases in intrathoracic pressure by venting the pressure during chest compressions, thus reducing the blood flow generated by the thoracic pump effect. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of chest tubes on hemodynamic efficacy during standard CPR in a swine model of cardiac arrest. Methods...
متن کاملSurvival after In-Hospital Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in a Major Referral Center during 2001-2008
Despite efforts to save more people suffering from in-hospital cardiac arrest, rates of survival after in-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are no better today than they were more than a decade ago. This study was undertaken to assess the demographics, clinical parameters and outcomes of patients undergoing CPR by the code blue team at our center during 2001 to 2008. Data were collec...
متن کاملHemodynamics in humans during conventional and experimental methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
High-fidelity hemodynamic recordings of aortic and right atrial pressures and the coronary perfusion gradient (the difference between aortic and atrial pressure) were made in nine patients during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Findings during conventional manual CPR were compared with those during high-impulse CPR (rate, 120 cycles/min with a shorter compression:relaxation ratio) as well ...
