The molecular asymmetric rigid rotor Hamiltonian as an exactly solvable model

چکیده
Representations of the rotation group may be formulated in second-quantised language via Schwinger's transcription of angular momentum states onto states of an effective two-dimensional oscillator. In the case of the molecular asymmetric rigid rotor, by projecting onto the state space of rigid body rotations, the standard Ray Hamiltonian H(1, κ, −1) (with asymmetry parameter 1 ≥ κ ≥ −1), becomes a quadratic polynomial in the generators of the associated dynamical su(1, 1) algebra. We point out that H(1, κ, −1) is in fact quadratic in the Gaudin operators arising from the quasiclassical limit of an associated su q (1, 1) Yang-Baxter algebra. The general asymmetric rigid rotor Hamiltonian is thus an exactly solvable model. This fact has important implications for the structure of the spectrum, as well as for the eigenstates and correlation functions of the model.

Effects of asymmetric stiffness on parametric instabilities of rotor
This work deals with effects of asymmetric stiffness on the dynamic behaviour of the rotor system. The analysis is presented through an extended Lagrangian Hamiltonian mechanics on the asymmetric rotor system, where symmetries are broken in terms of the rotor stiffness. The complete dynamics of asymmetries of rotor system is investigated with a case study. In this work, a mathematical model is ...
متن کاملAn Exactly Solvable Model of Interacting Bosons
We introduce a class of exactly solvable boson models. We give explicit analytic expressions for energy eigenvalues and eigenvectors for an sd-boson Hamiltonian, which is related to the SO(6) chain of the Interacting Boson Model Hamiltonian.
متن کاملQuasi exactly solvable quantum lattice solitons
We extend the exactly solvable Hamiltonian describing f quantum oscillators considered recently by J. Dorignac et al. by means of a new interaction which we choose as quasi exactly solvable. The properties of the spectrum of this new Hamiltonian are studied as function of the new coupling constant. This Hamiltonian as well as the original one are also related to adequate Lie structures. yves.br...
متن کاملExtended Jaynes-Cummings models and (quasi)-exact solvability
The original Jaynes-Cummings model is described by a Hamiltonian which is exactly solvable. Here we extend this model by several types of interactions leading to a nonhermitian operator which doesn’t satisfy the physical condition of space-time reflection symmetry (PT symmetry). However the new Hamiltonians are either exactly solvable admitting an entirely real spectrum or quasi exactly solvabl...

Classical Hamiltonian systems with a mixed phase space and some asymmetry may exhibit chaotic ratchet effects. The most significant such effect is a directed momentum current or acceleration. In known model systems, this effect may arise only for sufficiently strong chaos. In this paper, a Hamiltonian ratchet accelerator is introduced, featuring a momentum current for arbitrarily weak chaos. Th...
