چکیده

We study n-point functions at finite temperature in the closed time path formalism. With the help of two basic column vectors and their dual partners we derive a compact decomposition of the time-ordered n-point functions with 2 components in terms of 2n−1 − 1 independent retarded/advanced n-point functions. This representation greatly simplifies calculations in the real-time formalism. PACS numbers: 11.10Wx, 11.15Tk, 11.55Fv Typeset using REVTEX 1

Solution of Harmonic Problems with Weak Singularities Using Equilibrated Basis Functions in Finite Element Method

In this paper, Equilibrated Singular Basis Functions (EqSBFs) are implemented in the framework of the Finite Element Method (FEM), which can approximately satisfy the harmonic PDE in homogeneous and heterogeneous media. EqSBFs are able to automatically reproduce the terms consistent with the singularity order in the vicinity of the singular point. The newly made bases are used as the compliment...

EFFECT OF TIME-DEPENDENT TRANSPIRATION ON AXISYMMETRIC STAGNATION-POINT FLOW AND HEATTRANSFER OF A VISCOUS FLUID ON A MOVING CIRCULAR CYLINDER

Effect of time dependent normal transpiration on the problem of unsteady viscous flow and heat transfer in the vicinity of an axisymmetric stagnation point of an infinite circular cylinder moving simultaneously with time-depended angular and axial velocities and with time-dependent wall temperature or wall heat flux are investigated. The impinging free stream is steady with a strain rate . A re...

1 PI Green functions in the world - line formalism

We demonstrate, at the one-loop level, how the theory-independent part of proper N-point Green functions at finite temperature and chemical potential can be formulated in the world-line formalism, where φ 3 theory, photon scattering, effective potential in a constant magnetic field, π 0 → 2γ decay are all described in a unified way. We then derive various useful formulae and check their consist...

0 v 1 1 2 M ar 2 00 4 Five - loop ǫ expansion for U ( n ) × U ( m ) models : finite - temperature phase transition in light QCD

We consider the U(n) × U(m) symmetric Φ4 Lagrangian to describe the finite-temperature phase transition in QCD in the limit of vanishing quark masses with n = m = Nf flavors and unbroken anomaly at Tc. We compute the Renormalization Group functions to five-loop order in Minimal Subtraction scheme. Such higher order functions allow to describe accurately the three-dimensional fixed-point structu...

Correlation Functions in the Schwinger Model at Zero and Finite Temperature

The general correlations between massless fermions are calculated in the Schwinger model at arbitrary temperature. The zero temperature calculations on the plane are reviewed and clarified. Then the finite temperature fermionic Green's function is computed and the results on the torus are compared to those on the plane. It is concluded that a simpler way to calculate the finite temperature resu...
