چکیده

We present an extensive analysis of rare K decays, in particular of the two neutrino modes K → πνν and KL → πνν, in the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. We analyse the expectations for the branching ratios of these modes, both within the restrictive framework of the minimal flavour violation hypothesis and within a more general framework with new sources of flavour-symmetry breaking. In both scenarios, the information that can be extracted from precise measurements of the two neutrino modes turn out to be very useful in restricting the parameter space of the model, even after taking into account the possible information on the mass spectrum derived from high-energy colliders, and the constraints from B-physics experiments. In the presence of new sources of flavour-symmetry breaking, additional significant constraints on the model can be derived also from the two KL → πll modes.

Nnlo Analysis of Semileptonic Rare B Decays

We update the standard model predictions for the branching ratios of the decays B → (K,K∗,Xs) l l, with l = e, μ. Using the measurements of B(B → Xsγ) and B(B → Kll) as well as the upper limits on B(B → (K∗,Xs)l l), we work out model independent bounds on the relevant Wilson coefficients. We show the impact of such bounds on the parameter space of the MSSM with minimal flavour violation and of ...

2 00 9 1 Testing the CKM Picture of Flavour and CP Violation in Rare K and B Decays and Particle - Antiparticle Mixing

We summarize briefly the CKM picture of flavour and CP violation that governs the models with minimal flavour violation (MFV). We then describe how this framework can be efficiently tested through particle-antiparticle mixing and rare K and B decays. In particular we provide a list of theoretically clean tests that the simplest version of the MFV framework, the constrained MFV hypothesis, has t...

Higgs – mediated K → πνν in the MSSM at large tan β

We analyze the impact of Higgs-mediated amplitudes on the rare decays KL → πνν and K → πνν in the MSSM with large tan β and general flavour mixing. We point out that, going beyond the minimal flavour violation hypothesis, Z-penguin amplitudes generated by charged-Higgs exchange can induce sizable modifications of K → πνν rates. Interestingly, these effects scale as tan β at the amplitude level....

ε′/ε and Rare K and B Decays in the MSSM

We analyze the CP violating ratio ε/ε and rare K and B decays in the MSSM with minimal flavour and CP violation, including NLO QCD corrections and imposing constraints on the supersymmetric parameters coming from ε, B0 d,s − B̄0 d,s mixings, B → Xsγ, ∆̺ in the electroweak precision studies and from the lower bound on the neutral Higgs mass. We provide a compendium of phenomenologically relevant f...

Neutral Higgs boson contributions to the decays B̄d,s → μ+μ− in the MSSM at large tanβ

It is well known that the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) can enhance B (B̄d,s → μ+μ−) by orders of magnitude [1], even if we assume the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix to be the only source of flavour violation. Of particular interest is the quantity R ≡ B (B̄d → μ+μ−)/B (B̄s → μ+μ−), since (i) the theoretical errors cancel to a large extent, and (ii) it offers a theoretically...
