Endless Hide-and-Seek: Dynamic Co-evolution in Plant-Bacterium Warfare

چکیده
Plants possess innate immune systems to prevent most potential infections. The ancient and conserved innate immune responses are triggered by microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs) and play important roles in broad-spectrum defenses. However, successful bacterial pathogens evolved type III virulence effectors to suppress MAMP-mediated immunity. To survive, plants further developed highly specific resistance (R) genes to trigger gene-for-gene-mediated immunity and turn the virulent pathogens into avirulent ones. We summarize here the very recent advances in this dynamic coevolution of plantbacterium interaction.

Dynamic Model For Production of Biohydrogen Via Water- Gas Shift Reaction (RESEARCH NOTE)
In design of anaerobic bioreactor, rate equation is commonly used. Mathematical model was developed at steady state condition, to project concentration of gaseous substrate and product in biological oxidation of carbon monoxide with water to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The concept of bioconversion was based on transport of CO from gas phase to liquid phase, as the CO consumption was in...
متن کاملEvolution: Bacterial Territoriality as a Byproduct of Kin Discriminatory Warfare
Recent work suggests that the inability of genetically distinct colonies of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis to freely merge is often a byproduct of microbial warfare mediated by divergent suites of chemical weaponry. Any effects of such kin-discriminatory antagonisms on levels of within-group cooperation at other traits remain unclear.
متن کاملIdentification and Functional Prediction of Long Non-Coding RNAs Responsive to Drought stress in Lens culinaris L.
Drought stress is one of the main environmental factors that affects growth and productivity of crop plants, including lentil. In the course of evolution evolution, crucial genetic regulations mediated by non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) have emerged in plant in response to drought and other abiotic stresses. In the present study, after identifying lncRNAs within the expression profile of lentil, RNA-s...

0885-5765/0 * To who berbee@inte What makes a fungus pathogenic? In this review, phylogenetic inference is used to speculate on the evolution of plant and animal pathogens in the fungal PhylumAscomycota. A phylogeny is presented using 297 18S ribosomal DNA sequences from GenBank and it is shown that most known plant pathogens are concentrated in four classes in the Ascomycota. Animal pathogens ...
متن کاملEffect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus, plant growth promoting rhizobacterium, and soil drying on different forms of potassium and clay mineral changes in a calcareous soil under maize planting
ABSTRACT- Greenhouse experiment was conducted in factorial experiment arranged as a completely randomized design (CRD) to evaluate the effect of Glomus intraradices, Pseudomonas fluorescence and soil drying on different forms of potassium (K) and the changes of clay minerals in a calcareous soil after maize planting. Treatments consisted of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungus at two levels: G0 (...
