چکیده
On the basis of establishing mathematical model and defining the parameters and treating embedded Markov chains and probability generating function as math tools, the paper analyzed discrete-time, nonsymmetric dual-threshold service queue system precisely, and it derived first order and second order characteristics of the system. The paper calculates the average queue length and average waiting delay of information group. Simulation experiment based on system running mechanism and theoretical calculations have good consistency. The analysis laid the solid foundation for research of gated polling system based on asymmetric multi queue; it further deepens the perception of asymmetric gated polling system; it is meaningful to dominate polling system flexibly.

Queue Length Performance of Some Non-exhaustive Polling Models with Bernoulli Feedback
We study the queue length performance in non-exhaustive asymmetric polling systems with Bernoulli feedback. We obtain the PGF (Probability Generating Functions) and the mean values of the queue lengths, For the gated polling model, we define two new service policies: departure-gated policy and service-gated policy, and we demonstrate their difference in queueing performance. In an asymmetric sy...
متن کاملA two-queue polling model with two priority levels in the first queue
In this paper we consider a single-server cyclic polling system consisting of two queues. Between visits to successive queues, the server is delayed by a random switch-over time. Two types of customers arrive at the first queue: high and low priority customers. For this situation the following service disciplines are considered: gated, globally gated, and exhaustive. We study the cycle time dis...
متن کاملFluid polling systems
We study N-queues single-server fluid polling systems, where a fluid is continuously flowing into the queues at queue-dependent rates. When visiting and serving a queue, the server reduces the amount of fluid in that queue at a queue-dependent rate. Switching from queue i to queue j requires two random-duration steps: (i) departing queue i, and (ii) reaching queue j. The length of time the serv...
متن کاملA Communication Multiplexer Problem: Two Alternating Queues with Dependent Randomly-Timed Gated Regime
Two random traffic streams are competing for the service time of a single server (multiplexer). The streams form two queues, primary (queue 1) and secondary (queue 0). The primary queue is served exhaustively, after which the server switches over to queue 0. The duration of time the server resides in the secondary queue is determined by the dynamic evolution in queue 1. If there is an arrival t...
متن کاملMixed gated/exhaustive service in a polling model with priorities
In this paper we consider a single-server polling system with switch-over times. We introduce a new service discipline, mixed gated/exhaustive service, that can be used for queues with two types of customers: high and low priority customers. At the beginning of a visit of the server to such a queue, a gate is set behind all customers. High priority customers receive priority in the sense that t...
