Pixon-basedmultiresolution Imagereconstruction and Quantification of Image Information Content

چکیده
This paper describes the theory of pixon-based image reconstruction. After a brief introduction of the basic concepts of the pixon, the paper concentrates primarily on our current implementation of the techniques along with the approximations and shortcuts that seem to provide practical software algorithms. We then present an example of application of the method to astrophysical data.
