Large Scale TYPO3 Deployment Methodologies

Developers are familiar with the multitude of small scale content management systems on the market but few know about large scale web content management systems. Up until now, applications such as plone, magnolia, and projects by the Apache foundation have attempted to fill the large market niche. PHP based content management systems have had trouble acquiring enterprise deployments for a number of reasons. Website scalability and architecture combined with inherent flaws in PHP have stopped these systems from penetrating the large market niche. However with a few minor tweaks and close consideration of the requirements of a large enterprise, TYPO3 or any well developed PHP CMS can be adjusted to scale and optimized through a well defined methodology.
