چکیده

A heterogeneous olefin epoxidation catalyst containing both V and Ti in the active site was prepared by sequential non-hydrolytic grafting. The silica was exposed first to VO(OPr)3 vapor followed by Ti(O Pr)4 vapor. Formation of propene is evidence for the creation of Ti-O-V linkages on the surface. Upon metathesis of the 2-propoxide ligands with BuOOH, the catalyst becomes active for the gas phase epoxidation of cyclohexene. The kinetics of epoxidation are biphasic, indicating the presence of two reactive sites whose activity differs by approximately one order of magnitude.

Optimizing the Preparation Conditions of Silica Supported Fe-Co-Ce Ternary Catalyst for the Fixed-bed Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis: Taguchi Experimental Design Approach

Using wet impregnation method, a novel ternary system of silica supported Fe-Co-Ce catalyst was prepared. Preparation conditions such as impregnation time and temperature, drying time and temperature, were optimized by the L9 Taguchi experimental design to achieve a light olefin selective catalyst with maximum CO conversion in a fixed bed micro-reactor. It was found that the best conditions to ...

Synthesis of Binary Ti-Si Mixed Oxides Nanoparticles with Rutile Structure as Selective Catalyst for Epoxidation of Alkenes

The nanoparticles of Ti-Si mixed oxides (NTSO) with Rutile structure were prepared by sol-gel method in a mixture of alcohol and water as solvent. The solid product was characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, UV, TGA and laser Raman spectroscopy. The catalytic activity of NTSO (5-10 nm) was investigated in the epoxidation of cis stilbene, trans stilbene, and norbornene by using oxidants such as t...

Facile preparation of silica-supported Ti catalysts effective for the epoxidation of cyclooctene using Ti-bridged silsesquioxanes.

When used as additives, silicas strongly promoted the epoxidation of cyclooctene by (t)BuOOH in the presence of Ti-silsesquioxane (Ti-POSS), where Ti species were found to be bound to the silica surface. Based on this observation, highly-active silica-supported Ti catalysts were prepared by the thermal treatment of mixtures of Ti-POSS and silica.

Molybdenum containing surface complex for olefin epoxidation

Silica-supported molybdenum surface complexes were prepared by the reaction between (N=)Mo(OtBu)3 and silica via displacement of the tert-butoxy ligands for siloxyls from the silica surface. The structure of the surface molybdenum complexes was well defined by in-situ FT-IR, elemental analysis, H NMR and C CP/MAS NMR techniques. The surface complexes could undergo alcoholysis reaction with CD3O...

Modified Titanium Content in Titanosilicates Mesoporous Molecular Sieves MCM-41 as Selective Catalyst for Epoxidation of Alkenes

Ti-MCM-41 was synthesized at pH 3, 7 and 11. The titanium content was determined by AAS and found to be 4%, 3.2% and 4.5%, respectively. In order to increase the titanium content in Ti-MCM-41, Ti(IV) ions were grafted onto Ti-MCM-41 using TiCl4 in toluene and Ti(OBu)4 in ethanol. The incorporation of Ti was determined to be 28% and 30%, respectively. The oxidation of olefins such as cyclopenten...
