Demo Abstract: Z-Monitor: A Monitoring Software for IEEE 802.15.4 Wireless Sensor Networks

چکیده
Monitoring of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a fundamental task to track the network behavior and measure its performance in real-world deployments. Commercially-available products for monitoring and testing IEEE 802.15.4-compliant Low Power Wireless Personal Area Networks (LoWPANs) are mainly too expensive, and typically require special sniffing hardware. In this Demo paper, we present Z-Monitor, a monitoring and a protocol analyzer solution to control and debug IEEE 802.15.4-compliant LoWPANs. Z-Monitor represents a free and extensible solution for monitoring Zigbee, 6LowPAN and RPL protocols, does not require special sniffing hardware, and provides comparable services to proprietary and commercial products.

An Energy Efficient Clustering Method using Bat Algorithm and Mobile Sink in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) consist of sensor nodes with limited energy. Energy efficiency is an important issue in WSNs as the sensor nodes are deployed in rugged and non-care areas and consume a lot of energy to send data to the central station or sink if they want to communicate directly with the sink. Recently, the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol is employed as a low-power, low-cost, and low rat...

IEEE 802.15.4 is a Low Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (LR-WPAN) standard combined with ZigBee, which is going to enable new applications in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and Internet of Things (IoT) domain. In recent years, it has become a popular standard for WSNs. Wireless communication among sensor motes, enabled by IEEE 802.15.4 standard, is extensively replacing the existing wired ...
متن کاملMulti-channel Medium Access Control Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks: A Survey
Extensive researches on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been performed and many techniques have been developed for the data link (MAC) layer. Most of them assume single-channel MAC protocols. In the usual dense deployment of the sensor networks, single-channel MAC protocols may be deficient because of radio collisions and limited bandwidth. Hence, using multiple channels can significantly ...
