Ruin Probabilities of a Discrete-time Multi-risk Model

چکیده
In this work, we investigate a multi-risk model describing insurance business with two or more independent series of claim amounts. Each series of claim amounts consists of independent nonnegative random variables. Claims of each series occur periodically with some fixed inter-arrival time. Claim amounts occur until they can be compensated by a common premium rate and the initial insurer’s surplus. In this article, we derive a recursive formula for calculation of finite-time ruin probabilities. In the case of bi-risk model, we present a procedure to calculate the ultimate ruin probability. We add several numerical examples illustrating application of the derived formulas.

Ruin Analysis of a Discrete-Time Dependent Sparre Andersen Model with External Financial Activities and Randomized Dividends
We consider a discrete-time dependent Sparre Andersen risk model which incorporates multiple threshold levels characterizing an insurer’s minimal capital requirement, dividend paying situations, and external financial activities. We focus on the development of a recursive computational procedure to calculate the finite-time ruin probabilities and expected total discounted dividends paid prior t...
متن کاملOn a discrete-time two level NCD risk model
This paper proposes a discrete-time NCD risk model that incorporates the well-known No Claims Discount (NCD) system (or bonus-malus system (BMS)) in the car insurance industry. Such a system penalises policyholders at fault in accidents by surcharges, and rewards claim-free years by discounts. For simplicity, only two levels of premium are considered in the given model and recursive formulae ar...
متن کاملOn a discrete-time risk model with claim correlated premiums
This paper proposes a discrete-time risk model that has a centain type of correlation between premiums and claim amounts. It is motivated by the well-known No Claims Discount system or bonus-malus system in the car insurance industry. Such a system penalises policyholders at fault in accidents by surcharges, and rewards claim-free years by discounts. For simplicity, only two levels of premium a...
متن کاملRuin Probabilities in a Discrete Time Risk Model with Dependent Risks of Heavy Tail
This paper establishes some asymptotic results for both finite and ultimate ruin probabilities in a discrete time risk model with constant interest rates, and individual net losses in R−α, the class of regular variation with index α > 0. The individual net losses are allowed to be generally dependent while they have zero index of upper tail dependence, so that our results partially generalize t...
متن کاملRuin Probabilities with Dependent Rates of Interest and Autoregressive Moving Average Structures
This paper studies ruin probabilities in two discrete-time risk models with premiums, claims and rates of interest modelled by three autoregressive moving average processes. Generalized Lundberg inequalities for ruin probabilities are derived by using recursive technique. A numerical example is given to illustrate the applications of these probability inequalities. Keywords—Lundberg inequality,...
