چکیده

This paper defines a security infrastructure for access control at the component level of programming language design. Distributed components are an ideal place to define and enforce significant security policies, because components are large entities that often define the political boundaries of computation. Also, rather than building a security infrastructure from scratch, we build on a standard one, the SDSI/SPKI security architecture [EFL 99].

A survey on impact of cloud computing security challenges on NFV infrastructure and risks mitigation solutions

Increased broadband data rate for end users and the cost of resource provisioning to an agreed SLA in telecom service providers, are forcing operators in order to adhere to employment Virtual Network Functions (VNF) in an NFV solution. The newly 5G mobile telecom technology is also based on NFV and Software Define Network (SDN) which inherit opportunities and threats of such constructs. Thus a ...

An ECC-Based Mutual Authentication Scheme with One Time Signature (OTS) in Advanced Metering Infrastructure

Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is a key part of the smart grid; thus, one of the most important concerns is to offer a secure mutual authentication.  This study focuses on communication between a smart meter and a server on the utility side. Hence, a mutual authentication mechanism in AMI is presented based on the elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and one time signature (OTS) consists o...

Architecting Adaptable Security Infrastructures for Pervasive Networks through Components

Security management in pervasive networks should be fundamentally flexible. The dynamic and heterogeneous character of these environments requires a security infrastructure which can be tailored to different operating conditions, at variable levels of granularity, during phases of design, deployment, and execution. This is possible with component-based security architecture. We illustrate the b...

From Protecting a System to Protecting a Global Ecosystem

The area of security used to be classified by technologies: authentication, access control, monitoring, firewalls, cryptography, etc., or by systems: web security, application security, database security, operating systems security, communication security, etc. However, nowadays, in order to operate a service over the Internet, facing customers, one needs to manage a complex infrastructure. Thi...

Formal approach on modeling and predicting of software system security: Stochastic petri net

To evaluate and predict component-based software security, a two-dimensional model of software security is proposed by Stochastic Petri Net in this paper. In this approach, the software security is modeled by graphical presentation ability of Petri nets, and the quantitative prediction is provided by the evaluation capability of Stochastic Petri Net and the computing power of Markov chain. Each...
