Medical Jurisprudence and Toxicology

THE first edition of this book was reviewed in the Ulster Medical Journal. Additions to the text have added to its value for medical students. The chapter dealing with emotion has been rearranged and in part re-written to include a fuller discussion of some aspects of the work described. Also a brief account of controlled clinical trials of drugs and some of the elementary statistics involved is included. Modern psychology is faithfully presented in its many aspects. The text will be a useful guide not only to the beginner, but also could be re-read with profit when the student is doing his clerkship in phychiatry. J.G.G.
