COMPARISON OF SefA, FimA AND AgfA FIMBRIAL PROTEINS OF SALMONELLA ENTERITIDIS IN THEIR ABILITIES TO ELICIT HUMORAL IMMUNE RESPONSE IN HENS

چکیده

Immunization of hens with SefA and FimA fimbrial proteins of Salmonella Enteritidis induces strong humoral response as it was shown by ELISA assay. The levels of anti-SefA and anti-FimA antibodies induced by purified recombinant proteins are similar to that obtained with live bacteria. SefA and FimA can be obtained with high purity and yield as recombinant proteins expressed in E. coli. For these reasons they can be considered as components of subunit vaccine. From the other hand, low immunogenicity of AgfA excluded this protein as a constituent of such vaccine.
