چکیده

The appearance model is an important issue in the visual tracking community. Most subspace-based appearance models focus on the time correlation between the image observations of the object, but the spatial layout information of the object is ignored. This paper proposes a robust appearance model for visual tracking which effectively combines the spatial and temporal eigen-spaces of the object in a updating strategy is developed to both update the eigen-space and mean of the object. Experimental results demonstrate that, compared with the state-of-the-art appearance models in the tracking literature, the proposed appearance model is more robust and effective. & 2011 Elsevier B.V. Target Tracking Based on Mean Shift and KALMAN Filter with Kernel Histogram Filtering

Visual object tracking is required in many tasks such as video compression, surveillance, automated video analysis, etc. mean shift algorithm is one of popular methods to this task and has some advantages comparing to other tracking methods. This method would not be appropriate in the case of large target appearance changes and occlusion; therefore target model update could actually improve thi...

An online spatio-temporal tensor learning model for visual tracking and its applications to facial expression recognition

Robust visual tracking remains a technical challenge in real-world applications, as an object may involve many appearance variations. In existing tracking frameworks, objects in an image are often represented as vector observations, which discounts the 2-D intrinsic structure of the image. By considering an image in its actual form as a matrix, we construct the 3rd order tensor based object rep...

P58: Visual Working Memory Performance Based on Saccades in Children with and without Specific Learning Disorder: An Eye-Tracking Study

Some of the previous studies show that children with SLD have deficits in visual processing and working memory. Hence, the aim of this research was to investigate problems of visual working memory based on behavioral neuroscience method, using an eye tracker device. The method of present study was ex-post facto study. The participants included couple of twelve children with SLD (mean age=10.92)...

Covariance Analysis of a vector tracking GPS receiver based on MMSE multiuser Detection

In high dynamic conditions, using vector tracking loops instead of scalar tracking loops in GPS receivers is proved as an efficient method to compensate the performance. The Minimum Mean Squared Error detector as a multiuser detector is applied in the vector tracking loop for more reliability and efficiency. The Kalman filter does the two tasks of tracking and extracting the navigation data aft...

Potentials of Evolving Linear Models in Tracking Control Design for Nonlinear Variable Structure Systems

Evolving models have found applications in many real world systems. In this paper, potentials of the Evolving Linear Models (ELMs) in tracking control design for nonlinear variable structure systems are introduced. At first, an ELM is introduced as a dynamic single input, single output (SISO) linear model whose parameters as well as dynamic orders of input and output signals can change through ...
