چکیده
The Extended Self-Similarity (ESS) of cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation has been studied using recent data obtained by the spacecraft based Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe. Using the ESS and the high angular scale resolution (arcminutes) of the data it is shown that the CMB temperature space increments exhibit considerable and systematic declination from Gaussianity for high order moments at the small angular scales. Moreover, the CMB space increment ESS exponents have remarkably close values to the ESS exponents observed in turbulence (in magnetohydrodynamic turbulence).

I present a briefly summary of the current status of inflationary models versus topological defects scenarios, as the mechanisms which could have induced the initial density perturbations, which left an imprint on the cosmic microwave backgound radiation anisotropies.

We report briefly on a recent analysis of the texture–induced CMB radiation three–point correlation function of temperature anisotropies as predicted by an analytical model. We specialize our analysis to both large–scales (e.g., for COBE–DMR, where we compare our prediction with the actual four–year data) and intermediate–scales. We show how the latter case puts strong constraints on the model ...

We detect anisotropy in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) at degree angular scales and confirm a previous detection reported by Wollack et al. (1993). The root-mean-squared amplitude of the fluctuations is 44 +13 −7 µK. This may be expressed as the square root of the angular power spectrum in a band of multipoles between l ef f = 69 +29 −22. We find δT l = l(2l + 1) < |a m l | 2 > /4π = 42 ...

Received (received date) Revised (revised date) We study quintessence models with a constant (effective) equation of state. It is investigated whether such quintessence models are consistent with a negative spatial curvature of the Universe with respect to the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background radiation measured by the WMAP mission. If the reionization is negligibly small, it is fou...
