چکیده
Valman, H. B., and Evans, K. E. (1970). Archives of Disease in Childhood, 45, 686. Serum unbound levels ofcloxacillin and erythromycin in cystic fibrosis. Cloxacillin and erythromycin were absorbed normally by children with cystic fibrosis. In individuals from whom staphylococci were isolated during continuous antibiotic therapy, the serum unbound level, the biologically active fraction, did not reach the level required to inhibit the growth of the patient's staphylococci in vitro. This suggests that if staphylococci are isolated from the respiratory tract of a child during long-term chemotherapy, increasing the dose may eliminate the pathogen. The minimum doses of cloxacillin to produce adequate serum unbound levels appear to be 250 mg. for children below 20 kg. and 500 mg. above this weight. The effective dosage for erythromycin is less predictable, but a similar regimen is probably adequate.

نقش مکمل یاری ویتامین D در سیستیک فیبروزیس: مطالعه مروری نظاممند
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common genetic respiratory disease in the west, which is due to a malfunction in protein of cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator (CFTR). Since some studies showed the effect of vitamin D supplementation and increment in 25OHD serum level in these patients, this study aimed to conduct a review in this scope. For reaching the available studies, a search was con...
متن کاملShort paper Directed neutrophil migration to IL-8 is increased in cystic fibrosis: a study of the eVect of erythromycin
Background—The aim of this study was to compare neutrophil migration in cystic fibrosis (CF) and non-CF populations and to investigate the eVect of erythromycin on directed migration of neutrophils (PMNs) in CF. Methods—PMNs were isolated and their migratory capacity in response to interleukin-8 (IL-8) or f-Met-Leu-Phe (fMLP) in the presence or absence of erythromycin (1–100 μg/ml) was assessed...
متن کاملEffects of Coenzyme Q10 Level on Clinical Parameters in Cystic Fibrosis Patients
Background: Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a hereditary autosomal recessive genetic disorder that can affect many organs including the lungs and the digestive system. We aimed to assess the effects of coenzyme Q10 level on clinical parameters in cystic fibrosis patients. Materials and Methods This cross-sectional study was performed on 40 patients (13 females and 19 males) with cystic fibrosis who wer...
متن کاملUse of Temperature-controlled Ionic Liquid-assisted Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Method for the Detection of Amoxicillin, Cloxacillin and Erythromycin Residues in Cow Milk using High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Background and Objectives: Different types of antibiotics are used indiscriminately in animal husbandry for the growth and treatment of livestock, which cause accumulation of antibiotic residues in livestock products such as milk. Long-term consumption of milk contaminated with antibiotic residues above the permissible limits is harmful to human health, causing antibiotic resistance problems. T...
