چکیده
Good NVH is becoming must feature in recent commercial vehicles. One of the major discomforts caused to driver by Engine vibration during idling. The power train is suspended on the vehicle frame on several flexible mounts, whose purpose is to isolate the vibration between engine and frame. Total 6 different modes of Engine like roll, yaw, pitch and Vertical, lateral and longitudinal need to isolate. Engine mount stiffness and position is critical and need to have methodology to verify in early stage of designing [1]. In this paper, the stiffness and modulus of elasticity value of engine rubber mount is calculated experimentally by carrying out compressive test on UTM. Later, the critical frequency is found by carrying modal analysis on this engine mount through ANSYS. Also by doing calculation, the position of driver’s seat is found ensuring the minimum NVH condition.

Analysis of the dynamic behavior of the car user in the irregular terrain
Many people experience vibration effects on whole-body throughout their lives frequently. Vibrating energy absorbed is exposed all-body caused with vibration hazard in the vertically on body and biodynamic responses from body in speed 2.37 to 5.14 m/s could captivate with car seat on user body, so the vibration energy transferred to a seated people body. In this paper, the human body is modeled...
متن کاملFree and forced vibration analysis on finite element model of an off-road vehicle
In the present paper, the modal analysis on a full finite element model of an off-road vehicle. This vehicle was modeled in the CATIA software and then meshed in the HYPERMESH software. The free vibration analysis was conducted by the ABAQUS software. By applying an external displacement, the forced vibration analysis was also performed. As a result, natural frequencies and shape modes were ext...
متن کاملA Comparison of Classifier Performance for Vibration-based Terrain Classification
The ability to recognize the encountered terrain is an essential part of any terrain-dependent control system designed for mobile robots. Terrains such as sand and gravel make vehicle mobility more difficult and thus reduce vehicle performance. To alleviate this problem the vehicle control system can be tuned for maximum speeds, turning angles, accelerations and other conditions to help adapt t...
متن کاملTerrain Classification Using Vibration Sensors: Theory and Methods
To improve the response of an autonomous ground vehicle (AGV) as it seeks to complete an outdoor mission, the control system of the vehicle should vary as it encounters specific terrains such as sand, gravel, mud, or ice. To determine when to switch the control system it is beneficial to have accurate and fast online terrain classification. The earliest terrain classification algorithms were vi...
متن کاملModeling of wheel–soil interaction over rough terrain using the discrete element method
A numerical study was conducted using the discrete element method (DEM) to investigate the performance and mobility impacts of rough terrain operation for small unmanned ground vehicles. The DEM simulation was validated using experimental data from two types of single-wheel tests previously published in the literature: straight-line locomotion over flat, level soil, and wheel-digging. Results f...
متن کاملFrequency response method for terrain classification in autonomous ground vehicles
Many autonomous ground vehicle (AGV) missions, such as those related to agricultural applications, search and rescue, or reconnaissance and surveillance, require the vehicle to operate in difficult outdoor terrains such as sand, mud, or snow. To ensure the safety and performance of AGVs on these terrains, a terrain-dependent driving and control system can be implemented. A key first step in imp...
