CMOS Analog Implementation of Multidimensional Membership Functions of a Neuro-Fuzzy Network

This work presents the implementation of multidimensional membership functions by means of an analogue Neuro-Fuzzy circuit realized in 0.8μm CMOS technology. The adopted circuit configuration is discussed and preliminary measurements of an integrated circuit prototype are reported. 1 Circuit implementation The fuzzy system model used in this work is based on the so-called fuzzy if-then rules [1], in which the product-sum has been chosen as inference method, followed by the center of gravity for defuzzyfication. The architecture used for the implementation of the fuzzy-model has been presented in [2] and is reported in Fig. 1.
