Quantum Reality Filters

چکیده
An anhomomorphic logic A∗ is the set of all possible realities for a quantum system. Our main goal is to find the “actual reality” φa ∈ A∗ for the system. Reality filters are employed to eliminate unwanted potential realities until only φa remains. In this paper, we consider three reality filters that are constructed by means of quantum integrals. A quantum measure μ can generate or actualize a φ ∈ A∗ if μ(A) is a quantum integral with respect to φ for a density function f over events A. In this sense, μ is an “average” of the truth values of φ with weights given by f . We mainly discuss relations between these filters and their existence and uniqueness properties. For example, we show that a quadratic reality generated by a quantum measure is unique. In this case we obtain the unique actual quadratic reality. “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” —Albert Einstein

The Impact of the Spectral Filter Bandwidth on the Spectral Entanglement and Indistinguishability of Photon Pairs of SPDC Process
In this paper, we have investigated the dependence of the spectral entanglement and indistinguishability of photon pairs produced by the spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) procedure on the bandwidth of spectral filters used in the detection setup. The SPDC is a three-wave mixing process which occurs in a nonlinear crystal and generates entangled photon pairs and utilizes as one of th...
متن کاملQuantum Integrals and Anhomomorphic Logics
The full anhomomorphic logic of coevents A∗ is introduced. Atoms of A∗ and embeddings of the event set A into A∗ are discussed. The quantum integral over an event A with respect to a coevent φ is defined and its properties are treated. Integrals with respect to various coevents are computed. Reality filters such as preclusivity and regularity of coevents are considered. A quantum measure μ that...
متن کاملVolterra filters for quantum estimation and detection
The implementation of optimal statistical inference protocols for high-dimensional quantum systems is often computationally expensive. To avoid the difficulties associated with optimal techniques, here I propose an alternative approach to quantum estimation and detection based on Volterra filters. Volterra filters have a clear hierarchy of computational complexities and performances, depend onl...
متن کاملQuantum filter processes driven by Markovian white noises have classical versions
We study quantum filters that are driven by basic quantum noises and construct classical versions. Our approach is based on exploiting the quantum markovian component of the observation and measurement processes of the filters. This approach leads in a natural way the classical versions for a class of quantum filters. We consider quantum white noises derived from Wiener and Poisson processes th...
متن کاملQuantum Mechanics as Reality or Potentiality from A Psycho-Biological Perspective
Quantum mechanics are generally interpreted as physical reality with superposition of wave functions, which have to collapse to observable reality. From a psycho-biological perspective, it could also be interpreted as superposition in the mental representation of reality, which corresponds to imagined potentiality and is naturally replaced by reality, when it becomes observable. The interpretat...
