چکیده

With the goal of measuring localization in disordered interacting systems, we examine the finite-size scaling of the geometricallyaveraged density of states calculated from the local Green’s function with finite energy resolution. Our results show that, unlike in a simple energy binning procedure, there is no limit in which the finite energy resolution is irrelevant.

Computational study of bandgap-engineered Graphene nano ribbon tunneling field-effect transistor (BE-GNR-TFET)

By applying tensile local uniaxial strain on 5 nm of drain region and compressive local uniaxial strain on 2.5 nm of source and 2.5 nm of channel regions of graphene nanoribbon tunneling field-effect transistor (GNR-TFET), we propose a new bandgap-engineered (BE) GNR-TFET. Simulation of the suggested device is done based on non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) method by a mode-space approach...

Mott-Hubbard transition versus Anderson localization in correlated electron systems with disorder.

The phase diagram of correlated, disordered electron systems is calculated within dynamical mean-field theory using the geometrically averaged ("typical") local density of states. Correlated metal, Mott insulator, and Anderson insulator phases, as well as coexistence and crossover regimes, are identified. The Mott and Anderson insulators are found to be continuously connected.

In this work, we study electronic transport properties of a quasi-one dimensional pure semi-conducting Zigzag Carbon Nanotube (CNT) attached to semi-infinite clean metallic Zigzag CNT leads, taking into account the influence of topological defect in junctions. This structure may behave like a field effect transistor. The calculations are based on the tight-binding model and Green’s function me...

Vacancy Defects Induced Magnetism in Armchair Graphdiyne Nanoribbon

Spin-polarized electronic and transport properties of Armchair GraphdiyneNanoribbons (A-GDYNR) with single vacancy (SV), two types of configurations fordouble vacancy (DV1, DV2) and multi vacancy (MV) defects are studied by nonequilibriumGreen’s function (NEGF) combined with density functional theory (DFT).The results demonstrate that the A-GDYNR with the SV has the lowe...

In this paper, we study the electronic conductance and density of states for a comb-like polymer with periodic hopping energies in the tight-binding approach. Electron transmission coefficient and density of states are analytically calculated by using Green’s function of the system. The results show that the electronic conductance spectrum has one energy gap in the absence of carbon-hydrogen b...
