An Italian Research Project on Direct Photogrammetry
نویسنده
چکیده
The paper deals with an Italian research Project on direct photogrammetry, active in the period 2003-2004. Among its most interesting features are: usage of a rich test site, having 160 artificial GCPs and 60 natural ones; performing of four dedicated flights, each containing different blocks at different scales. The goals and the phases of the Project are described, together with the test site and the several, already performed, ad-hoc flights. The aim is to favour knowledge exchange and collaboration between Italian researchers and those from other countries.

An Italian Project on the Evaluation of Direct Georeferencing in Photogrammetry
The paper concerns selected results from a vast Italian research project regarding calibration of GPS/IMU systems and the quality of direct georeferencing in photogrammetry. Thanks to Pavia's Test Site (PTS) and to a complex structure of flight data which was acquired above it, it is possible to perform rigorous and independent validation of results. This means: the possibility of calibrating o...
متن کاملGps/ins Systems for Compilation of Digital Large-scale Orthophotos
The paper describes the first results of a study, supported by an Italian research project “Integrated Inertial Positioning Systems in Aerial Photogrammetry” on the potential use of these techniques for production of digital large scale orthophotos. The study has been done with aerial photographs collected from two different flights executed in Sicily: the former, relating to the city of Palerm...
متن کاملEvaluation of Close-Range Photogrammetric Technique for Deformation Monitoring of Large-Scale Structures: A review
Close-range photogrammetry has been used in many applications in recent decades in various fields such as industry, cultural heritage, medicine and civil engineering. As an important tool for displacement measurement and deformation monitoring, close-range photogrammetry has generally been employed in industrial plants, quality control and accidents. Although close-range photogrammetric applica...
متن کاملHealth Monitoring of Complex Structure Using Tls and Photogrammetry
The demand for high-definition surveys within cultural heritage projects represents one of the main factors which promoted the use of laser scanning technology and photogrammetry. By measuring millions of points within relatively short time periods, terrestrial laser scanners allow to derive complete and detailed 3D models of real objects from acquired point clouds. Despite the wide spread of T...
متن کاملExperiences about Fusioning 3d Digitalization Techniques for Cultural Heritage Documentation in Cáceres Wall (spain)
In this paper we present an experience about combining 3D digitalization techniques for cultural heritage documentation. Cáceres Wall is a big and complex construction from the XII century. Caceres was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO in 1986 because of the city's blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance styles and the wall contains rich elements of all those épo...
