Gain-Scheduled Control: Relaxing Slow Variation Requirements by Velocity-Based Design

چکیده
University of Strathclyde Abstract This paper investigates the application of the gain-scheduling approach to flight control tasks where the conditions required by conventional techniques need not be satisfied. The conditions required by conventional techniques are progressively relaxed and the design of gain-scheduled controllers under a range of conditions is addressed. In particular, the paper considers gain-scheduled control design in situations where the vehicle is manoeuvring aggressively far from equilibrium, the airspeed need not be slowly varying and/or scheduling on the instantaneous incidence angle is required.

Robust Fuzzy Gain-Scheduled Control of the 3-Phase IPMSM
This article presents a fuzzy robust Mixed - Sensitivity Gain - Scheduled H controller based on the Loop -Shaping methodology for a class of MIMO uncertain nonlinear Time - Varying systems. In order to design this controller, the nonlinear parameter - dependent plant is first modeled as a set of linear subsystems by Takagi and Sugeno’s (T - S) fuzzy approach. Both Loop - Shaping methodology and...

In this article, a new approach is proposed to design robust switching gain-scheduled dynamic output feedback control for switched uncertain continuous-time linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The proposed robust switching gain-scheduled controllers are robustly designed so that the stability and H2-gain performance of the switched closed-loop uncertain LPV system can be guaranteed even und...

This paper focuses on developing a linear parameter varying (LPV) controller for an airbreathing hypersonic vehicle using a velocity-based approach. The design of flight control systems for airbreathing hypersonic vehicles is a highly challenging task due to the unique characteristics of the vehicle dynamics. Motivated by recent results on a velocity-based linearization approach and LPV control...

This paper investigates the application of velocity-based gain-scheduling techniques to a demanding, highly nonlinear, missile control design task. Scheduling on instantaneous incidence (a rapidly varying quantity) is well known to lead to considerable difficulties with conventional gain-scheduling methods. Moreover, the missile dynamics do not have well-defined relative degree at operating poi...
متن کاملLinear Parameter Varying Control for the X-53 Active Aeroelastic Wing
Fuel efficiency, endurance, and noise requirements are pushing modern aircraft to lighter, more flexible designs. This causes the structural modes to occur at lower frequencies increasing the coupling with the rigid body dynamics. The traditional approach to handle aeroservoelastic interaction is to design gain-scheduled flight control laws based on the rigid body dynamics and then use filters ...
